One of the hardest things one has to do in life is to write and deliver eulogies when someone one loves dies. Giving the speech is challenging enough under the best circumstances, and some people might feel too overcome by their loved ones passing to deliver the eulogy. Aside from the challenges of speaking to people when in a high-charged emotional state, the task of actually writing the funeral speech may be overwhelming, particularly if you are in a state of shock due to grief over losing a loved one.
Writing the eulogy (or funeral speech) and then standing at the funeral to give it may be one of the hardest tasks we will likely have to undertake. Preparing and giving the eulogy can cause great anxiety for people who are not used to writing and delivering a public speech. To write an effective, fitting eulogy, you will have to talk with relatives and loved ones of one of the people who has died, reflect on your own experiences with them and allow time for yourself to write and cut down your eulogy to its most appropriate parts.
