FUNERAL REGISTER BOOK, Known as the Book of Condolences, the Funeral Guest Book, or the Book of Memories, the Funeral Register Book is basically a book where guests attending the funeral may sign their names. Often, funeral register books will also include a space where guests may record their condolences or nice messages about the lost loved one.
Usually, a person or a family member close to the deceased will hold onto a funeral register book after the funeral is finished. After the funeral, the deceased’s family will keep a funeral guest book as a kind of memento, to go through and to remember all those people present who supported and comforted them during that sad day. Most funerals, memorials, and memorial events will have a kind of guest book at the funeral.
